Scraping and Irrigation

Yes, folks, I went to the dentist. I actually like going to the dentist. Who doesn't love the feeling of clean, tartar-free teeth? It's been at least 3 years since my last appointment, which was when I lived in DE. Since returning to MD, I put off finding a new dentist. You know how it is... you only go when your tooth really hurts and it's too late to save it. Luckily, that wasn't the case for me. Over the weekend, I did have a dull pain in one tooth, but x-rays showed it was fine. Some other teeth had old fillings that were worn down and a little bit of fixing on two other teeth. So, I have to go back next week and at least one more appointment after that for fillings and some kind of polishing.

I forgot to ask them how much their laser whitening would cost. My tragic corn kernels for teeth may not benefit from laser. I think my last dentist said discoloration can be genetic. My dreams of gleaming, Ross*-like, glow-in-the-dark teeth are doomed!
