Gestures of Goodwill

I was summoned to help my boss with a gesture of goodwill between our company and one of our customers. We crafted handmade holiday cards to be handed out to patients at hospitals. We used supplies provided by the customer. My co-worker, Mary, was also involved and she sells Close To My Heart stamping/scrapbooking products. I've been involved in stamping and making cards (using CTMH) since she introduced me to it last December.

BREAKING NEWS!!! My Cowboys just beat the Colts, handing them their first loss of the season!!! Woot!!!

Anyway, we had to be extra creative using the basics provided us, since we're so accustomed to having a wide array of stamps, stamp pads, papers, embellishments and the magic of the heat gun for embossing our stamping. Here are some of the cards we made:

Mine are the two in the front and the two in the back. Mary's are the two in the middle. She made a bunch more, but they were on another table. Not bad!

In other big news for the week, John and I have booked our flights to go to THAILAND in January. Can you believe it? I'm so excited! It will be John's first time out of the country, except for the time he went to the Bahamas and when he went to Vancouver with Freddy. He hasn't been the same since he came back from Canada, by the way. Something about too many modes of transportation taken in a 24-hour period and White Russians. And a "Vancouver Hover"...

The last time I was in Thailand was in January of 2000. The toughest thing will be the 12 hour time difference. I find that coming back home is the most brutal though. You wake up at 4:00 AM all wide awake and by 3:30 in the afternoon, you're ready for bed.

This past weekend, we had FND at my parents' and on Saturday, we met up with the guys to watch the Maryland football game at Caddie's. John went to see Brian Wilson with Freddy, William and Mange that night while I did a little early X-mas shopping. Today, we ran a bunch of errands between Silver Spring and Columbia. Lots of driving! I think I'm ready for bed!

Sorry about the infrequency of blogging... I have soo many food blog items to catch up on! Hopefully, I'll be able to blog again this week. We're heading to the beach cottage on Friday after filling our pie holes on Thursday. I've been put in charge of bringing a veggie side dish to my MIL's house. John said to make a Caesar Salad... I'm thinking Brussel Sprouts. LOL.

Happy Turkey Day, everyone!
