Hello, Goal Line!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Veteran's Day Weekend! John and I were off on Friday and took advantage of this by heading down to Breton Bay on Thursday night to check on the house. One of the screen doors had been damaged by the wind (wasn't securely latched) but all else was fine with the house.

Friday, we headed out in search of a new screen door, but most of them are a standard size these days and we needed one a bit smaller than standard. It looks like we're gonna have to special order one. After a trip to Target and some lunch at Popeye's, we went to see "Borat". I thought Matt & Trey (of South Park fame) had pretty imaginative and sick senses of humor (right up our alley!), but Sasha Baron Cohen is just as sick. The movie didn't bring any hyperventalation or tears to our eyes from laughter, but was pretty funny. Very nice.

We headed to the yarn shop and the Apple Basket (or Apple Bucket, as John likes to call it). John found some $99 lamps he wanted to buy, but we held off for now. We'll be back down there after Thanksgiving, to check 'em out again.

Of course, we had to have dinner at Happy Dragon, where they serve up the best General Tso's (according to John).

Saturday morning, we packed it up and headed home. After a trip to the grocery store (and many calls from Freddy to pick up a few extra things), we met up with the gang for some Maryland Football tailgating:

Bianca and Jay were entertaining us with tunes from their satellite radio... until Bianca's car battery pooped out. How many guys does it take to jump start a car? Bianca was well prepared with her own cables, but sadly, they were defective or something. Freddy borrowed some (in exchange for a few swigs of Captain Morgan) and we got the car started.

At the game, the stands were full. It may not look like it (top right corner), but it filled up and was a really beautiful night for a ball game. Maryland scored two touchdowns in the first quarter and that was to be their only points. They managed to pull off a win against Miami. It was another nail biter! But a great win!

We headed back to our spot for more tailgating. Here's what happens when you get freebie poms at a game:

Today was a yucky day... cold, windy and rainy. John was on call today and got one at 8:00 this morning. I didn't leave the house at all today! I was planning on going to Recollections (a scrapbooking store) but decided to just stay in and do some laundry.

Hope everyone was able to enjoy the outdoors yesterday! It doesn't seem like we'll be seeing 70 degree weather again any time soon.

Great pic's and recap of tailgating and the game Jal! Where is that store you mentioned, Recollections? Sounds like something I need to check out!

Recollections is AWESOME if you like scrapbooking or stamping cards.

I'm pretty much just into some of the card making and gift tags. They have tons of embellishments and papers. Like the two scrapbooking aisles at Michael's on steroids! They're up in Columbia at Snowden Square (shopping center). Bonus is there's also a DSW, Home Goods and Bed Bath & Beyond.
